Those traveling with large sums of money, expensive jewelry or expensive luggage may want to take extra precautions. Most cruise ships will not pay for lost or stolen belongings so if you aren't willing to take that risk then the best advice is to not bring it.

Cash and credit cards are the item that most often are stolen on cruise ships. You are advised to carry a money pouch instead of a purse or wallet.

In the event that you are unable to use a money pouch or you left yours at home, you are urged to divide up your money. If you have to use a purse make sure it is with you at all times. Women and men, with wallets, are urged to keep their wallets in their front pockets.
